Vikings Explore More As Fleet Expands

Viking Ocean Cruises will welcome new Viking Sky and Viking Sun to their expanding fleet of unique cruise ships in early and late 2017.  They join Viking Star and Viking Sea with an ambitious itinerary expansion as Vikings aggressively explore more.  It’s not the easiest way to expand a fleet of cruise ships; they might have simply sent those ships to ports of call already visited.  But that’s not the nature of Vikings, always poised for exploration and adventure in comfort.

“As we continue to grow our fleet, we have more opportunities to offer guests new and different options for experiencing the Viking way of destination-focused cruising, an approach that is completely unique in the industry,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking Cruises.

Indeed, to compare Viking’s Ocean cruising experience to the offerings of any other line would be inappropriate.  Viking’s ocean ships weigh in at 47,800 tons, have 465 cabins and accommodate just 930 passengers.  Adding more than 30 ports of call to Viking’s portfolio, Vikings explore more with new itineraries throughout Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean, including Cuba. Lets take a look at the new Itineraries that range from 8 to 22 days.
