CRUISE THE PLANET
As ultra-luxury cruise lines go, there are higher standards for every part of the travel experience. Rightfully so, luxury cruise travelers pay a premium price and expect their personal experience to meet or exceed the premium expectations set in advance of sailing. Seabourn understand that and figuratively wrote a book that defined the ultra in ultra luxury. A solid differentiating factor that separates Seabourn from other luxury cruise lines is that they rarely cease to evolve what they do. Walk on board a Seabourn ship a few months after your last sailing and odds are something will be different, improved or new. Significant here is that those different, improved or new things are welcome additions. An announcement today by Seabourn heralds the opening of its new Thomas Keller at sea signature restaurant and is a textbook example of how they go about being the best.
Thomas Keller At Sea And Seabourn
The Grill by Thomas Keller has opened on Seabourn Quest, with a menu, wine list and ambience inspired by a classic American chophouse,. The unique Thomas Keller at sea use of space is a collaboration between three-star Michelin chef and designer Adam D. Tihany, exclusively for Seabourn. Officially open for dinner on Seabourn Quest, The Grill by Thomas Keller focuses on updated versions of iconic dishes where guests are treated to American chophouse classics as well as a range of other steakhouse favorites.
“The opening of The Grill by Thomas Keller marks the start of a new chapter in Seabourn’s long history of award-winning cuisine,” – Seabourn President Richard Meadows.
Located on Deck 8, timeless menu will draw on many artisan purveyors, while a wine list of domestic and old world labels personally curated by Chef Keller will complement each dish Oenophiles and casual wine drinkers alike will find many rare offerings on the menu, which features more than 90 selections from around the world.
The interior designs by Adam D. Tihany enhance the dining experience with spaces that will be distinctive to the ship, yet defined by intimate settings with an elegant and warm masculine quality. The Grill by Thomas Keller is located in newly renovated spaces formerly occupied by Restaurant 2, which was extensively refit during a recent dry dock period. Chef Thomas Keller began his partnership with Seabourn in 2015 and shares the luxury cruise line’s commitment to offering outstanding guest experiences.
“We are excited for guests to enjoy the restaurant’s top-quality ingredients matched by a tremendous wine list while traveling the world with Seabourn.” said Seabourn President Richard Meadows.
