Pre Cruise Hotels: Embassy Suites Orlando A Hit With Families

Sailing from Florida‘s Port Canaveral, an easy 45 minute drive/transfer from Orlando International Airport (MCO), there are a number of excellent pre-cruise hotel choices available.  One we like as a best value for family travel is Embassy Suites, specifically the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South.  Close to the Central Florida Attractions, extending either pre- or post -cruise travel plans to include a day at a theme park seems a no-brainer for those flying before or after sailing.

When we lived in Kansas (where there are no oceans) and had to fly to Florida (where there are) for a cruise, we often came in town a day early.  Then traveling with kids,  Embassy Suites was always a good choice for family travel and still is today. We liked that each suite was a real two-room suite.  That made it easy for those who could not sleep the night before (me, the girls) embarkation to be up and getting ready while others (Lisa) slept in a while.

The Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South provides guests with a full complement of services and amenities, including spacious two-room suites that have a separate living area with a sofa bed, armchair, and well-lit dining/work table, private bedroom and bath, hair dryers, MP3 clock radio, two flat screen televisions, two dual-line phones, Internet access, a wet bar, mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, an iron and ironing board, a fitness center, a free, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast each morning and a complimentary two-hour Evening Reception each night.
