Top 5 International Vacation Destinations for Floridians

Floridians are seeking relaxation and exploration for Spring Break and April vacation! InsureMyTrip researchers looked at top destinations for Florida policyholders traveling in March and April – and found a variety of countries in the top five.

Top 5 International Spring/April Break Destinations for Florida Travelers:

  1. Mexico
  2. Italy
  3. Caribbean
  4. Bahamas
  5. United Kingdom

As travel numbers return to pre-pandemic numbers, the cost of vacations is also increasing.  Floridians will pay, on average, nearly $1,300 more for a spring break trip this year than last.  Nationwide – travelers will pay 26% more this year.

As a travel insurance comparison site, InsureMyTrip would be remiss if it didn’t mention the importance of trip protection as vacation prices rise.  The more you spend on a vacation – the more you stand to lose if you cancel or postpone a trip.  Travel insurance can help safeguard that financial investment.

A policy is especially important for those traveling outside the U.S.  Most domestic health insurance plans will not cover medical bills abroad.  Emergency medical coverage can reimburse expensive hospital visits if you become ill or injured on an international trip.
