Lindblad Antarctica Reveals New Guest Speakers

Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic announced the newest additions to its distinguished lineup of guest speakers for the 2023/2024 Antarctica season. The speakers include Mensun Bound, Dr. Robert Bindschadler, Christian Cooper, and Peter Hillary.

Mensun Bound is a maritime archaeologist who has conducted wreck surveys and excavations all over the world. He was the Director of Exploration for the first search to find Shackleton’s Endurance and was successful in finding it in 2022.

Dr. Robert Bindschadler is a glaciologist who has studied glaciers and ice sheets for over 30 years. He has led 16 Antarctic field expeditions to study the dynamics of the West Antarctic ice sheet.

Christian Cooper is a birder, activist, host, and consulting producer for the upcoming National Geographic series Extraordinary Birder. He advocates for greater access to green spaces for all, with a focus on outreach to youth in underserved communities.

Peter Hillary is the son of Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to reach the summit of Mount Everest. He has climbed the Seven Summits and has been on over 40 mountaineering expeditions around the world.
