The public preview offers residents and community leaders a firsthand look at the exterior and design features of the city’s forthcoming Mod Pod units, which anchor the planned NOVA Lansing Housing Initiative. Designed to provide more than just temporary emergency shelter, the initiative establishes a supportive bridge toward long-term independence and permanent housing stability.

The proposed development envisions a professionally managed neighborhood of 50 compact, modular micro-homes tailored for adults in Lansing and Ingham County. Each individual pod provides a secure, private personal living space equipped with climate control heating and air conditioning, lockable insulated doors, electrical and USB outlets, interior lighting, dedicated storage, and essential safety features. The site plan also incorporates specialized Americans with Disabilities Act compliant units to ensure full accessibility.

Complementing the private living spaces, the planned community integrates a centralized resource center designed to fulfill daily needs and build neighborhood connection.
