Traveling internationally might mean going to places far away that we have never been to before or returning to favorite destinations we just can’t get enough of. Either way, there are some basic guidelines that can make the whole experience go easier and even be as enjoyable as the dreams we have for places we visit.
Learn Some Of The Local Language
If the language we speak is not that of the land we will visit, learning some basic terms and phrases will go a long way to communicating there. “Where is the toilet?”, “How much?”, “Please” and “Thank You” alone, go a long way to taking care of our basic needs.
A bonus I see commonly: those who are trying to learn a local language, even if they are not very good at it, are given a whole lot more attention than those who don’t and hope someone will speak their language.
