According to an official press release from Holland America Line, bookings are now open for Zuiderdam’s highly anticipated European itineraries following its transformation under Holland America Evolution. Marking the cruise line’s largest fleet investment in its 153-year history, the multi-year modernization brings popular Pinnacle Class features to Zuiderdam. Debuting April 2, 2028, the ship will return to service in the sun-soaked Mediterranean before homeporting in Amsterdam to explore Northern Europe, Norway, Iceland, and Greenland.

The newly modernized vessel introduces elevated accommodation options designed for every style of traveler. Guests can look forward to purpose-built Solo Verandahs for single cruisers, forward-facing Bridgeview Suites, Vista Suites, and a reimagined Pinnacle Suite. The ship will also feature refreshed staterooms and the introduction of the popular Grand Dutch Café, linking onboard dining directly with the cruise line’s rich heritage.

Zuiderdam’s 2028 European season presents an extensive array of destination-rich itineraries. Travelers can choose from Western Mediterranean and Iberian routes visiting Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Tangier, or embark on a 13-day Atlantic Europe voyage to Amsterdam. Throughout the summer, the ship will navigate Norway’s magnificent fjords, the British Isles, and the volcanic landscapes of Iceland. The grand finale of the season is a 21-day transatlantic Cultural Crossing departing August 12, 2028, connecting Amsterdam to Boston via Iceland, Greenland, and Atlantic Canada.
