Details: Holland America 2023-24 West Coast

Holland America Line opened Port of San Diego’s 2023-2024 cruise season with a visit from Volendam. The cruise line donated $10,000 to the San Diego Harbor Police Foundation in honor of its commitment to the port and city. Six Holland America ships will visit Port of San Diego this season, bringing nearly 65,000 guests on cruises to Mexico, Hawaii, the Pacific Coast, South Pacific, and the Panama Canal.

Many of the longer voyages out of San Diego are part of the premium line’s homeport initiative that allows guests to see the world from their doorstep.

Highlights of the season include:

  • All Mexico cruises are roundtrip from San Diego, with itineraries ranging from seven to 12 days.
  • Two special Solar Eclipse cruises departing San Diego March 30 and April 5 will place the ships in Mexico for a total view of the eclipse.
  • Cruises to Hawaii are aboard Koningsdam and Volendam, operating roundtrip from San Diego, Vancouver, or between the two ports. Itineraries range from 16 to 18 days.
  • All six ships will offer Pacific Coastal cruises, with itineraries ranging from four to seven days and highlighting the California ports of San Francisco, Monterey, and Santa Barbara.
  • Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Volendam, and Zaandam will transit the Panama Canal between Vancouver, Seattle, San Diego, and Fort Lauderdale. Transits range from 14 to 22 days and most include a call at Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private island in the Bahamas.

Overall, this is looking like an exciting season for Holland America Line in San Diego, with a variety of cruises to choose from and a commitment to sustainability.
