Carnival Legend Tampa Deployment

Carnival Legend gets around.  We fell in love with the Spirit-class ship long ago, embracing the decorative urn decor with glee.  It seemed toned down at the time.  And the next time.  And the next. Carnival Legend is one of those ships we want to sail multiple times.  We’ll have that chance in 2019.  Carnival Cruise Line today announced great news for the Florida drive market: Carnival Legend Tampa Deployment.

Carnival Legend Tampa Deployment

Currently undergoing a major Funship 2.0-esque upgrade, Carnival Legend Tampa deployment starts in October 2019.  So where does the 2,124-passenger ship go between now and then?  Carnival Legend gets around.

This year, when the dry dock is complete, Carnival Legend will operate a summer schedule of seven-day Alaska cruises from Seattle. Moving along after Alaska season, Carnival Legend heads to Australia for a series of departures from Sydney and Melbourne in the fall and winter.  In summer 2019 she will return to Seattle for another series of seven-day Alaska cruises before finally arriving in Tampa, fall of 2019.

Additions include Guy’s Burger Joint, RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar plus Mexican-themed BlueIguana Cantina.  Enhancements to Camp Ocean, marine-themed kids play area, and Circle “C” catering to 12- to 14-year-olds, as well as the ship’s retail shopping outlets, is also happening.
