Carnival Cruise Ship To Be In Rose Bowl Parade

If you think ‘Rose Bowl’ and ‘cruising’, odds are it’s Princess Cruises that comes to mind first and you have a really good memory.  That was five years ago.  This year, it’s Carnival Cruise Line in the spotlight with a float in the annual parade. To be featured: The first of its kind trampoline park at sea.

Carnival Cruise Line will kick off its 2019 West Coast expansion plans on New Year’s Day with a float in the Tournament Of Roses Parade as part of a year-long celebration of its first new ship to homeport in California in 20 years that will arrive in December 2019.

Carnival Panorama arrives in Long Beach next December. To begin a year-long celebration of that event, Carnival will preview Carnival Panorama (made of roses) to 700,000 spectators on hand. They come from all over the world to view Pasadena’s Rose Parade on January 1.  Casting an even broader net, a worldwide television audience of more than 80 million parade fans will be on hand as well.  The float should not be difficult to spot, included are many signature features of Carnival’s ships.  No not Guy Fieri but a funnel, a water park and a Lido Deck party.  Those features will catch our attention but it’s– as the first-ever trampoline park at sea, in partnership with Sky Zone…which you might be able to preview in advance.  We have several Sky Zone locations in Florida.  While we do not know the details of the Carnival Panorama trampoline park, it fits.

Engaging top deck attractions on Carnival Cruise Line lean more toward fitness and actual activity than a sit-down and enjoy the ride.

Carnival Panorama debuts with a special three-day inaugural cruise from Long Beach on Dec. 11, 2019 before beginning year-round, seven-day Mexican Riviera service.  Carnival Panorama joins Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration to carry upwards of 600,000 guests annually from the West Coast – more than any other cruise operator.
