On the Seaboun Food and Wine Cruise, we have been experiencing some of the best culinary creations available at sea.  Actually, I take that back.  Make that THE best culinary creations at sea, as Seabourn Guests are universally agreed: this is one stellar event that has eclipsed even the last rendition of the themed voyage.  But its not all about caviar and foi gras, although those elements are present frequently.  Redefining ‘street food’ in Seabourn’s unique way, it made Seabourn Sense to bring back Italy’s very best pizza maker.

World Champion pizza maker Valentino Libro came on board Seabourn Sojourn to dazzle us with the skills that won him the Campion Mondiale Pizaiuoli award in 2014.

Making a variety of world class pizza and a special deep-fried Stromboli, Seabourn waiters made their way through the crowd, passing out sample sized pieces. Then making pizza to order, Seabourn Guests enjoyed their choice of toppings.   Interestingly, the sausage used as a topping was what we selected when visiting Amalfi, Italy with the chefs.

Selecting products ashore and bringing them back to the ship to be seen in one form or another later is a highlight of the Seabourn Food And Wine Cruise formula for success.

My favorite? A simple selection of olive oil, those same sausages and a few herbs
