Viking has officially opened bookings for its highly anticipated 2028–2029 ocean season, marking the company’s largest ocean deployment in history. The expanded season features more than 700 new departure dates across 80 thoughtfully crafted itineraries, visiting 301 ports in 84 countries and six continents. Designed specifically for curious travelers, Viking continues to set the benchmark for destination-focused, small-ship cruising.

The lineup introduces two state-of-the-art sister ships, the Viking Vega and the Viking Leda, scheduled for delivery in 2028 and 2029, respectively. Carrying just 998 guests across 499 all-veranda staterooms, these 54,300-ton vessels showcase signature Scandinavian design, light-filled public spaces, and generous al fresco dining options. Joining the fleet are two brand-new ocean itineraries: the 15-day Alaskan Fjords & the Inside Passage between Vancouver and Whittier, and the 16-day Mediterranean, Malta & North Africa roundtrip from Rome. The company has also expanded departure dates for popular journeys like the 15-day Japan Discovery roundtrip from Tokyo.

Viking President and Chief Executive Officer Leah Talactac highlighted the expansion as a reflection of the brand’s ongoing commitment to providing comfortable, culturally immersive ocean travel. Voyages range from eight-day escapes to grand, multi-continent World Voyages that seamlessly connect for extended exploration across Northern Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and the Caribbean.

To celebrate the launch, Viking is offering its Anniversary Sale through August 31, 2026. North American travelers can secure bookings with reduced fares, special airfare offers on select itineraries, and reduced $25 deposits, making this an ideal moment to plan future global adventures.
