Transcend Cruises has officially ushered in a new era for group travel on European waterways with the launch of MS Connect, the world’s first river cruise ship designed exclusively for private charter sailings. Following a naming ceremony in Dordrecht, Netherlands, the custom-built vessel departed on its inaugural voyage, marking a major milestone for corporate meetings, incentives, conferences, and private celebrations.

Built by Den Breejen Shipyard with sophisticated, yacht-inspired interiors by Tillberg Design of Sweden, MS Connect measures 442 feet in length and accommodates up to 120 guests across 60 flexible staterooms. In a revolutionary design twist, these staterooms can be converted into 30 spacious two-room suites, allowing organizers to tailor accommodation layouts to match the exact size and preferences of their group.

Functioning as a fully customizable floating venue, MS Connect offers five versatile event spaces, including a unique two-story forum with tiered seating and state-of-the-art audiovisual systems. The vessel incorporates extensive digital branding capabilities, allowing corporate clients to showcase their logos and imagery throughout the ship. Dining is entirely personalized, offering everything from fine dining to family-style regional menus, complemented by an expansive 2,580-square-foot wellness and fitness center.

Sustainability and operational efficiency are central to the design. MS Connect features electric last-mile maneuvering, battery systems that reduce generator usage, and a shallow draft that allows smooth navigation even during low water periods.
