Singapore-based maritime solutions leader Seatrium has renewed its multi-year Favoured Customer Contract with Carnival Corporation, extending a successful collaboration that originally began in 2010. Formerly known as Sembcorp Marine, Seatrium serves as a premier cruise vessel refurbishment, retrofit, and maintenance provider in Asia. This extended agreement reinforces the shipyard group’s vital operational role in supporting the ongoing enhancement and statutory drydocking needs of Carnival Corporation’s global fleet.

Under the framework of this renewed contract, Seatrium will manage upcoming drydocks and technical modernizations across Carnival Corporation’s diverse brand portfolio. The pact covers vessels operated by eight distinct cruise lines, including Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard, Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises, and P&O Cruises. This structure provides Carnival Corporation with guaranteed shipyard availability and predictable maintenance planning while allowing Seatrium to optimize facility scheduling and resource allocation across its advanced yards.
Immediate dockings are already underway for the final quarter of 2026. Two prominent vessels, Royal Princess and Carnival Luminosa, are scheduled to enter Seatrium’s shipyard facilities in October, followed closely by ultra-luxury vessel Seabourn Encore in November. Additional ships representing multiple Carnival Corporation brands are slated to arrive for comprehensive refits and lifecycle upgrades between 2027 and 2029.
Carnival Corporation management emphasized that Seatrium consistently demonstrates top-tier technical expertise, reliable execution, and strict safety standards. With more than 442 cruise ships serviced since 1978, Seatrium continues to solidify Singapore’s status as a premier global cruise and maritime hub. The continued partnership ensures high operational efficiency, sustainable technology integrations, and elevated passenger comfort across some of the most recognizable cruise liners sailing worldwide.
