Sailing From Boston, Take Time To Tour The City

Boston‘s Black Falcon Cruise Terminal saw the first of more than 20 round-trip sailings to Bermuda this week, with Norwegian Dawn beginning a season that extends through October.   Holland America’s Maasdam and Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas complete a trio of ships that sail from the oldest continuously operated port in the Western Hemisphere.  In Boston recently for the American Association of Retired Persons Life@50+ conference, we had the opportunity to tour Boston

An efficient way to get a good overview of Boston is with Boston Trolley Tours, our host for a morning spin around the city.  In this photo gallery we see historic sites ranging from downtown, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, the Theater District, and the Waterfront District. Via our Boston Trolley, we stood on the very ground where Samuel Adams, James Otis, and other revolutionary leaders fought for liberty.  Along the way, we saw the Historic North End, North Station, Boston‘s Historic Ballpark, Boston Convention & Exposition Center, and the Seaport District.

The standard tour takes visitors by the Paul Revere House, the Old North Church, and Copp’s Hill Burying Grounds in the North End.  We drove by Fenway Park, the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball still in use and could have “hopped on and hopped off” at our leisure.
