In the latest edition of the Waypoint+ newsletter, Port Director and CEO Captain John W. Murray alongside Commission Chairman Jerry W. Allender reflect on a phenomenal fiscal year defined by record passenger movements, strategic infrastructure investments, and a steady commitment to regional economic development, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

A major focus of the update centers on the port’s transforming skyline, driven by significant capital improvement projects designed to enhance guest experiences and expand operational capacity. Cruise Terminal 5 is moving into its final construction phase ahead of a scheduled December 2026 completion, while modernization work is underway at Cruise Terminal 10. Additionally, a massive 13-story, 3,700-space parking structure adjacent to Cruise Terminal 6 is on track to open in late September 2026, boosting total parking capacity to nearly 17,500 spaces.

Beyond passenger cruising, the port continues to diversify its economic foundation. Cargo operations welcomed a new international container service operated in partnership with Green Tide Logistics, linking Mexico, Port Canaveral, and Philadelphia with bi-monthly calls carrying refrigerated goods and produce.
