Norwegian Ship Order Is Largest Ever

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) announced a massive new ship order that will significantly expand its fleet across all three of its brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Eight new state-of-the-art vessels will be delivered over a ten-year period, from 2026 to 2036, with a total capacity of nearly 25,000 additional berths. This unprecedented investment will solidify NCLH’s position as a leader in the cruise industry and provide guests with innovative new vacation experiences.

  • Norwegian Cruise Line: Four new approximately 200,000-gross-ton ships with a capacity of nearly 5,000 guests each, to be delivered in 2030, 2032, 2034, and 2036 (subject to financing).
  • Oceania Cruises: Two new 86,000-gross-ton ships with a capacity of 1,450 guests each, to be delivered in 2027 and 2029.
  • Regent Seven Seas Cruises: Two new 77,000-gross-ton ships with a capacity of 850 guests each, to be delivered in 2026 and 2029.

In addition to the new ships, NCLH will construct a new pier at Great Stirrup Cay, its private island destination in the Bahamas. The new pier will be able to accommodate two large vessels simultaneously and is expected to be completed by late 2025. This investment will further enhance the guest experience at Great Stirrup Cay.
