Major cruise lines are significantly enhancing their loyalty programs to compete for the growing number of luxury-seeking travelers. MSC Cruises recently marked a major milestone by partnering with Wynn Las Vegas, establishing itself as the exclusive cruise partner for the Wynn Rewards program. This collaboration allows elite Wynn members to access high-tier maritime perks, including complimentary voyages and access to the MSC Yacht Club, a premium “ship-within-a-ship” area featuring 24-hour butler service and private lounges.

Other industry leaders are also modernizing their reward structures. Royal Caribbean Group has launched “Points Choice,” a program starting in early 2026 that allows guests to earn and apply points across its three brands: Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea. This provides members with greater flexibility to build status within the specific brand that best fits their travel preferences. Meanwhile, Carnival Cruise Line is transitioning its VIFP Club to a new system called “Carnival Rewards” in June 2026. This move shifts the focus toward a spending-based model, where status is earned through cruise fares and onboard purchases rather than just the number of days sailed.

Celebrity Cruises and Azamara continue to refine their elite offerings, providing members with upscale benefits such as priority tendering, specialty dining discounts, and exclusive members-only events. These changes across the sector reflect a strategic shift toward personalized service and integrated luxury experiences. By offering everything from private concierge services to room upgrades, cruise companies are ensuring that loyal passengers are recognized with increasingly sophisticated rewards that extend beyond the traditional cruise experience.
