Carnival Cruise Line has officially opened the doors to its spectacular new private destination, Celebration Key, on the beautiful island of Grand Bahama. After 25 years of planning and a $600 million investment, the first guests were warmly welcomed to this slice of paradise by cruise line executives and the one and only Shaquille O’Neal. This vibrant destination is designed for ultimate fun and relaxation, featuring massive freshwater lagoons, an incredible infinity pool, thrilling waterslides, and more than 30 unique food and beverage venues.

This grand opening is just the beginning of an even bigger vision. The current 68-acre paradise represents only the first phase, with a $100 million pier expansion already underway to accommodate more of Carnival’s largest ships. This will allow Celebration Key to welcome nearly four million guests annually by 2028. In addition to this exciting new destination, Carnival is also enhancing its other private island, the newly renamed RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay, and expanding its fleet with five incredible new ships set to debut through 2033, including the next-generation “Project Ace” vessels.
