Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating a monumental achievement with the grand opening of Celebration Key, its spectacular new private destination in Grand Bahama. This $600 million paradise, a project decades in the making, welcomes guests with massive freshwater lagoons, an incredible variety of dining and drink venues, thrilling waterslides, and luxurious cabanas. Welcomed by executives and Shaquille O’Neal, the first visitors stepped into a new era of fun. Yet, this incredible debut is just the beginning of Carnival’s ambitious and exciting vision for the future.

Even as guests enjoy the new amenities, work is already underway on a $100 million expansion to add two more berths to Celebration Key, doubling its capacity to accommodate nearly four million guests annually by 2028. Carnival is also enhancing its other private destination, now named RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, with a new pier and updated facilities to enrich the guest experience. The momentum continues with a robust pipeline of new ships. The next two Excel-class vessels, Carnival Festivale and Carnival Tropicale, are set to debut in 2027 and 2028. Following them is “Project Ace,” a brand-new class of even larger ships scheduled for 2029, 2031, and 2033. This wave of development, from new destinations to next-generation ships, signals a vibrant and fun-filled future for all Carnival cruisers.
