American Cruise Line To Add Five New Ships

American Cruise Lines (ACL), already the leading U.S. river and coastal cruise line, is expanding further with five new ships over the next two years. This comes after three new ships launched in 2023.

These American-built vessels, a mix of riverboats and coastal cats, will bolster ACL’s presence on both coasts and its dominant river fleets on the Mississippi and Columbia. ACL specializes in small ship, domestic cruises and operates the only U.S.-registered fleet.

CEO Charles Robertson called it an “exciting expansion” and a return to focus on building the U.S. river cruise capacity. Details like schedules are coming in 2024. With these additions, American Cruise Lines will operate 19 ships across 35 states in 2024, offering intimate cruise experiences exploring American history and culture.
