The comprehensive cabin overhaul introduces state-of-the-art 4K seatback entertainment screens at every seat, paired with high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity and a substantial expansion of premium seating options across the domestic fleet.

Starting in 2028, all newly delivered Airbus and Boeing aircraft will arrive factory-equipped with the next-generation entertainment platform, while existing single-aisle aircraft will be retrofitted in phases through the early 2030s. These advanced screens represent some of the largest displays offered on narrowbody aircraft in North America, featuring Bluetooth pairing for personal headphones, USB-C fast charging, interactive flight maps, and customized content recommendations.

Alongside the screen rollout, American Airlines is increasing its proportion of premium seats from approximately 25 percent to nearly 40 percent across single-aisle departures. Retrofits on the Airbus A319 and A320 fleets will add an extra row of First Class seating, upcoming Boeing 737 MAX 10 deliveries will feature 24 First Class seats, and Airbus A321neo cabins will be reconfigured for added luxury.
