Wonderful news for Florida drivers, as gas prices across the state have reached a two-month low. For the past ten consecutive days, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded has seen a delightful drop, falling a total of 19 cents. On Sunday, the average was an encouraging $2.94 per gallon, which is 14 cents less than last week, 2 cents below last month, and a fantastic 58 cents cheaper than this time last year. This downward trend offers a welcome relief at the pump, making daily commutes and weekend adventures more affordable for everyone.

While this current dip in prices is certainly a cause for cheer, it’s also a good reminder to stay informed. Historically, Florida gas prices tend to fluctuate, often experiencing a rise after a period of decline. Factors such as global oil and gasoline futures, along with geopolitical developments like potential sanctions and Red Sea security concerns, can influence future prices.

Gas prices are below $2 as shown at the WAWA on 34th Street and 38th Avenue North on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 in St. Petersburg.

However, for now, Floridians can happily fill up their tanks knowing they’re getting a great deal. AAA also offers valuable tips to help drivers save even more, like combining errands, driving conservatively, and using their helpful mobile app to find the best local prices.
