The elegant, 998-guest vessel was officially presented at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy, and joins the brand’s award-winning fleet of sophisticated small ships. For its inaugural season, the Viking Vesta will sail enchanting itineraries in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, offering curious travelers more opportunities to explore the world in Viking’s signature comfort and style.

This wonderful milestone is also paired with a forward-looking vision for the future of travel. Viking is at the forefront of sustainable innovation, with its sister ship, Viking Libra, currently under construction as the world’s first hydrogen-powered cruise ship. Scheduled for delivery in late 2026, the Libra and the subsequent Viking Astrea (2027) will feature propulsion systems based on liquefied hydrogen and fuel cells.
