Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has entered its 50th year of operation, marking the milestone with a significant “Golden Anniversary” sale and a period of strategic fleet expansion. To celebrate five decades since its founding in 1976, the luxury river cruise line is offering savings of up to 30 percent on a variety of its most popular itineraries across Europe and Asia. This promotional event is available for bookings made through February 28, 2026, and covers various destinations including the Danube, the Venetian Lagoon, the Mekong, and the Nile.

The anniversary coincides with the debut of the S.S. Emilie, the company’s first new-build vessel since 2021. This “Super Ship” is inspired by the work of artist Gustav Klimt and is scheduled to sail the Danube with a capacity of 154 guests. The vessel features Art Nouveau design elements and a new two-bedroom suite category. Beyond 2026, Uniworld has announced its largest expansion to date for the 2027 season, which will include the addition of three more Super Ships—the S.S. Audrey, S.S. Marlene, and S.S. São Rafael—alongside new routes through Singapore and Indonesia.
In addition to financial incentives and fleet growth, the cruise line is introducing several special events and unique itineraries for the 2026 season. Every European sailing during the anniversary year will host a “Golden Party” evening for guests. The program also features “Mystery Cruise” sailings where the destinations are not revealed until departure, and a 50-night “Rivers of the World” voyage spanning three continents. According to CEO Ellen Bettridge, the anniversary serves as an opportunity to honor the brand’s history of guest-focused service while looking toward future innovations in the luxury river cruising sector.
