The beautiful Il Sereno hotel on Lake Como is introducing a world-first in luxury hospitality with the debut of its “Darsena Listening Suite.” This incredibly unique and immersive space is designed entirely around “the art of listening,” offering a serene and sophisticated sanctuary for music aficionados. Inspired by Tokyo’s intimate jazz-kissa listening cafés, the suite provides a one-of-a-kind experience where high-fidelity sound, gourmet dining, and stunning design come together in perfect harmony.

At the heart of the suite is a state-of-the-art analog sound system, featuring high-end equipment and a curated library of over 500 vinyl records from the owner’s personal collection. This living project allows guests to request their favorite albums in advance, continually adding to the rich collection. The experience is beautifully elevated by a culinary component from the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, with Chef Raffaele Lenzi crafting menus where each dish is thoughtfully paired with curated vinyl selections.

Designed by the renowned Patricia Urquiola, the suite itself is a masterpiece of texture and light, featuring custom-woven fabrics for acoustic perfection, rich walnut paneling, and floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the lake.
