The year 2026 is projected to see a record number of Americans cruising, and the market is responding with seven major new cruise ship launches across various brands, ranging from large-scale contemporary vessels to luxury yachts. These new ships will debut across different classes, itineraries, and experiences globally.

Royal Caribbean International will introduce Legend of the Seas, the third vessel in its massive Icon Class, which will be among the largest cruise ships in the world. It will spend its inaugural season sailing in the Mediterranean before moving to the Caribbean. New features include an immersive dining experience called Royal Railway – Legend Station and the Broadway musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

Norwegian Cruise Line is launching Norwegian Luna, a Prima Plus Class ship that will offer new entertainment, including “Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John,” and returning features like a combined water slide and roller coaster. Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Adventure will be the brand’s eighth ship and the first to homeport in Asia, featuring the longest roller coaster at sea, the Ironcycle Test Run.

In the luxury and premium segments, Four Seasons Yachts will debut its first ship, Four Seasons I, offering only 95 suites with enhanced living space and a 66-foot saltwater pool. Regent Seven Seas Cruises will launch Regent Seven Seas Prestige, the first in its new Prestige Class, which will be 40% larger than previous ships but only carry 10% more guests, maximizing space. Other launches include MSC Cruises’ MSC World Asia, which will feature design elements reflecting Asian culture, and Explora Journeys’ Explora III, the first in its fleet to be powered by cleaner-burning liquefied natural gas.
