Seabourn And Uniworld Reveal Thrilling Cruise Itineraries

  • Expanded 2027 partnership between Seabourn and Uniworld offers combined luxury river and sea cruises,
  • Itineraries pair the Seabourn Ovation ocean ship with the SS La Venezia riverboat,
  • Routes feature Mediterranean coastal navigation alongside exclusive access to the Venetian Lagoon,
  • The program was expanded to three itineraries due to rapid sales and strong consumer demand.

Seabourn and Uniworld have announced an expansion of their collaborative river and sea cruising programs for the 2027 season. This partnership integrates maritime voyages along the Mediterranean coast with detailed inland navigation through the Venetian Lagoon. The decision to expand these combined itineraries follows strong consumer demand and rapid sales for their initial 2026 back-to-back sailings, which paired the ocean vessel Seabourn Ovation with the Uniworld riverboat SS La Venezia.

The 2027 schedule features three enhanced itineraries designed to bridge the gap between ocean and river cruising. One primary 16-day route, titled “The Wonders of the Adriatic & the Venetian Lagoon,” begins on the Seabourn Ovation in Piraeus, Greece. Passengers will sail along the coasts of Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia before disembarking in Fusina, Italy. From there, guests transfer to the SS La Venezia for a dedicated exploration of the Venetian waterways, including stops at Burano and Chioggia.

A second 16-day itinerary, “The Best of Italy, Croatia & Malta,” reverses this sequence. Travelers start with a river and lagoon cruise on the SS La Venezia before boarding the Seabourn Ovation for a coastal journey featuring ports in Croatia, the Greek islands, and southern Italy. Additionally, an extended 19-day version of this route incorporates a three-night pre-cruise hotel stay in Ljubljana, Slovenia, complete with land excursions to Lake Bled and the Postojna Caves.

This strategic alignment of small-ship river navigation and extended maritime exploration caters to a specific market segment that values both cruising styles. The SS La Venezia remains one of the few vessels permitted to navigate the sensitive environment of the Venetian Lagoon. Reservations for all 2027 river and sea combined cruises are currently available through Uniworld’s booking platforms.
