The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is set to expand its ultra-luxury offerings with its third superyacht, Luminara, which successfully completed sea trials and is preparing for its maiden voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome on July 3, 2025. This new vessel will further the brand’s commitment to redefining luxury at sea by introducing inaugural itineraries to destinations in Asia and Alaska, significantly broadening its global reach and immersive travel experiences for guests.

Inspired by the Latin word for “light,” the 794-foot Luminara will accommodate up to 452 guests in 226 suites, each featuring a private terrace. The yacht’s interiors, envisioned by leading design firms like Chapi Design, AD Associates, and lighting consultants DPA, will showcase contemporary craftsmanship with warm walnut woods, Arabescato Corchia marble, and a sophisticated color palette of soft blues, warm greys, and deep ocean hues.

An expertly curated art collection of 731 pieces, with many commissioned specifically for Luminara and including works by artists like Paul Klee and Andy Warhol, will adorn the yacht, enhancing the onboard ambiance. A standout feature will be a seven-story suspended light sculpture in the aft staircase atrium.

Dining aboard Luminara will uphold the brand’s reputation for culinary excellence, featuring five distinct venues. These include Seta su Luminara, a modern Italian restaurant in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi, and Beach House, offering Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors conceptualized with chef Michael Mina. Other options will be Azur (regionally influenced menus), Haesu Bit (pan-Asian), and Mistral (Mediterranean coastal dining). Seven sophisticated bars, including the new Art Bar with craft cocktails, will complement the dining experiences.

Luminara will also elevate signature Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection offerings with an expansive Marina featuring a dynamic floating lounge platform and direct sea access for water sports. A panoramic pool area and The Ritz-Carlton Spa, offering exclusive treatments inspired by Asia-Pacific itineraries from ESPA and 111SKIN, will provide ample opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The onboard luxury retail experience, curated with Starboard Luxury, will see the debut of dedicated boutiques for Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, and Piaget, alongside The Boutique offering high-end resort wear and exclusive items. Following its inaugural Mediterranean season, Luminara will sail to Africa, the Indian Ocean, Asia-Pacific (from December 2025), and then Alaska and Canada (from May 2026).
