Mar del Cabo by Velas Resorts announces the launch of “Kitchen to the Farm,” a culinary experience that celebrates the authentic flavors and sustainable agriculture of Miraflores, a small town located 45 minutes north of Los Cabos that exudes a quaint splendor and is rich in fresh produce. This charming village, sits among mountains and blessed with a unique microclimate that contrasts beautifully with the region’s typical desert terrain, has earned its reputation as an agricultural paradise in Baja California Sur.

Located at Tiky Cabo, the organic farm that serves as the dedicated source of fresh produce for the Mar del Cabo’s Encanto Restaurant, this agricultural paradise offers guests an intimate connection to the land, the craft of cooking, and the joy of dining under the starlit desert sky.

The four-hour experience begins in the late afternoon with a guided tour of the organic gardens, where guests handpick vibrant, seasonal vegetables alongside skilled chefs before participating in a hands-on cooking class to prepare pasta and proteins for their evening meal.

Using freshly harvested ingredients, an exquisite al fresco five-course dinner is prepared and served, featuring dishes such as grilled local oregano cheese with wild honey, heirloom tomato cream with fresh mountain oregano, spinach spaghetti with guanciale, grilled White Ember beef tenderloin with Baja California Peninsula langoustine, and carrot cake made with farm-fresh carrots.

The evening concludes around a warm bonfire with decadent desserts under the tranquil countryside sky, with an optional stargazing session available for those seeking a deeper connection to the cosmos.

The “Kitchen to the Farm” experience is available from March through August when seasonal vegetables are at their peak. The experience is priced at $1,057 USD for up to six guests and an optional stargazing session can be added for $244 USD. Transportation to Tiky Cabo can be arranged upon request.
