Marshalls is launching “The Upgrade Lounge,” an immersive pop-up airport experience at JFK International Airport’s Terminal 4, aiming to provide travelers with premium amenities without a first-class ticket. Open from May 21 to May 28, 2025, to coincide with the busy Memorial Day travel weekend, the lounge embodies Marshalls’ mission of offering access to better quality, experiences, and value beyond its stores. This initiative addresses survey findings that cost is a significant barrier for many travelers wishing to access airport lounges.

The Upgrade Lounge will offer complimentary perks designed to surprise and delight, reflecting the on-trend fashion, top beauty brands, and travel essentials found in Marshalls stores. Key features include a style-centric atmosphere with the latest fashion and travel accessories on display, plush seating, a beauty bar for refreshments with name-brand products, and free premium amenity kits and snacks. The lounge will be open daily from 8 AM – 12 PM and 5 PM – 9 PM, with the seating area accessible 24/7.
In conjunction with the physical lounge, Marshalls is collaborating with TV personality Amanda Batula. She has helped curate the lounge experience and has also launched “The Upgrade Shop” on Marshalls.com. This online, shoppable edit features Batula’s favorite spring/summer fashion and travel essentials, extending the “upgrade” experience to a wider audience.
