The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami has officially marked its reopening today following the completion of an extensive $100 million transformation. This significant renewal, the first comprehensive update in nearly twenty-five years, was overseen by Gencom and prominent design studios, aiming to blend the island’s natural ambiance with modern coastal sophistication. The resort is situated on seventeen acres of pristine Atlantic Ocean beachfront, offering a secluded escape near the energy of Miami.

The updated architecture features an open-air design with a dramatic glass façade that provides uninterrupted ocean views, connecting guests directly to the sea. The interior design utilizes a palette of natural textures and sun-washed tones, reflecting Key Biscayne’s mid-century allure. Every space, from the guest rooms and suites—including the expansive Presidential Suite—to the common areas, has been completely revitalized.
The transformation includes a substantial enhancement of the culinary landscape with the introduction of six distinct beachfront dining and cocktail concepts. Highlights include Luma, a Mediterranean-inspired venue offering modern Italian cuisine, and Paralía, an open-air restaurant serving Aegean-inspired flavors with locally sourced seafood. The resort also integrated local favorite Pura Vida Miami for wellness-focused café fare.
Wellness and rejuvenation are central to the new resort experience, emphasized by the debut of the 30,000-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Spa, Key Biscayne. The sanctuary features 16 treatment rooms, a Spa Garden, and wellness journeys rooted in sound therapy. Holistic well-being is further supported by an oceanfront fitness center, reformer classes from Tremble, and complimentary daily classes such as yoga on the grand lawn. Leisure activities have been expanded to include a new Ritz Kids Club, refreshed pool areas, and an updated Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center now offering pickleball and padel courts.
