The four-night cultural festival, “A Night In Old San Antonio” (NIOSA), will host its 78th presentation from April 21–24, 2026, nightly within the La Villita Historic Arts Village. This event is the top fundraiser for historic preservation in the United States and is solely produced by The Conservation Society of San Antonio, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2024.

NIOSA brings the city’s heritage to life through 14 distinct cultural areas, featuring over 155 food, drink, and atmosphere booths, continuous live musical acts, and unique souvenirs. The festival is renowned for serving popular specialty items such as Mr. Chicken, Maria’s Tortillas, and Anticuchos. The event is staffed entirely by an army of 10,000 volunteers, many representing second or third generations of dedicated families.

Financially, NIOSA generates significant funding for preservation efforts. On average, the festival nets The Conservation Society over $1 million annually, which supports the preservation of historic properties, parks, educational programs, and provides grants. The festival also invests over $1 million directly back into the community through local suppliers and permits. Discounted tickets for the 2026 event are currently available online until November 30 for $15 each, with a child admission policy of free entry for those 12 and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
