Carnival Cruise Line is introducing an exceptionally vibrant schedule for the Carnival Sunshine during its 2027-2028 season, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history. From May through October 2027, the ship will embark on a series of breathtaking Mediterranean and North African voyages. These sailings will depart from the iconic ports of Barcelona, Spain, and Civitavecchia, Italy, offering travelers a seamless gateway to some of the world’s most cherished cultural destinations. The expanded itinerary includes visits to a diverse array of countries, including Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Montenegro, Tunisia, and Morocco.

This season is particularly noteworthy as it features Carnival’s inaugural visits to the African continent with scheduled calls in La Goulette, Tunisia, and Tangier, Morocco. In addition to these historic milestones, the Carnival Sunshine will introduce guests to new European gems such as Bari, Italy; Bar, Montenegro; and Ajaccio, France. The cruise line is also celebrating its return to popular destinations like Genoa, Palermo, and Izmir after several years. A major highlight of this season is a spectacular solar eclipse cruise departing on July 25, 2027. This special voyage is meticulously designed to position the ship within the path of totality for the celestial event occurring on August 2, 2027, providing a once-in-a-lifetime viewing opportunity from the sea. The eclipse itinerary is complemented by stops in beautiful locations like Marseilles, Salerno, and Valletta. For those in other regions, a similar eclipse-focused journey will be available aboard the Carnival Miracle departing from England.
