Emirates has unveiled its new Crew Training Centre, a significant development for the airline’s expansion and a major milestone for Dubai’s role in global aviation. This modern facility, a US$135 million investment, is specifically designed to support the training of current and future pilots for the airline’s growing fleet, including the new Airbus A350s and upcoming Boeing 777Xs.

The center, spanning over 63,000 square feet, is equipped with six full flight simulator bays and is strategically located to create a cohesive aviation hub. A key feature is the innovative Pilot Support Station, an industry-first that allows pilots to prepare for training sessions in a fully immersive environment, maximizing learning time. The facility also uses advanced 3D printing technology to produce training equipment components, which results in substantial cost savings.
With two A350 simulators already operational and four more on the way, including those for the Boeing 777X, the center is set to dramatically increase Emirates’ training capacity. Once fully operational, the airline’s total training hours for pilots will increase by 54% to 130,000 hours annually. The first A350 simulator has already achieved the highest-level safety qualification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, highlighting the facility’s commitment to excellence and safety standards. This new center reinforces Emirates’ commitment to the professional development of its pilots and solidifies its position as a leader in aviation training.
