- The ship is repositioning from Germany to Singapore via the Bahamas for its 2026 debut
- Originally the unfinished Global Dream, the vessel was acquired and redesigned with seven themed zones
- New features include the longest rollercoaster at sea and expanded Asian dining options
- This launch marks Disney Cruise Line’s first permanent deployment in the Asian market
The Disney Adventure, now the largest vessel in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, has officially departed Bremerhaven, Germany, to begin a complex repositioning voyage to its future homeport in Singapore. The 208,000-gross-ton ship is currently crossing the Atlantic toward Freeport, Bahamas, where it will undergo final inspections in mid-January. Following a scheduled stop at Port Canaveral, the vessel will continue its journey to Asia, preparing for its maiden operating season in early 2026.

This vessel represents a unique addition to the fleet, having been acquired as the unfinished Global Dream following the collapse of Genting Hong Kong in 2022. Meyer Werft completed the construction, redesigning the ship to meet Disney’s specifications. The result is a resort-style vessel organized into seven themed zones, such as the Disney Imagination Garden and Marvel Landing. A standout feature is the “Ironcycle Test Run,” an 820-foot rollercoaster that holds the title of the longest at sea.
Designed with the Asian market in mind, the Disney Adventure features an expansive culinary program with significant Asian cuisine options alongside Disney’s traditional rotational dining. The ship also introduces high-end accommodation choices, including “Frozen”-themed Royal Suites. This deployment is strategically significant as it establishes Disney Cruise Line’s first permanent presence in Asia, part of a broader expansion that includes four additional ships scheduled for delivery by 2031.
