Princess Cruises’ newest Royal-Class ship, Discovery Princess, made a spectacular maiden call to Singapore on October 28, 2025. The ship immediately embarked on an exciting five-day inaugural cruise around Malaysia, visiting Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Penang, and Langkawi before returning to Singapore for a month-long dry dock. This voyage is the ship’s only Southeast Asia sailing before she heads to Sydney to begin her first homeporting season in Australia, which also celebrates Princess Cruises’ 50th anniversary of operations from Australia.

The Discovery Princess is a grand vessel accommodating 3,660 guests and offers numerous luxurious features. It boasts over 1,400 staterooms with balconies, and its exclusive Sky Suites feature the cruise line’s largest balconies at sea with expansive 270° views. Dining is a delight with over 20 restaurants and bars, including the signature “360: An Extraordinary Experience,” a seven-course, multi-sensory culinary journey inspired by world destinations.
The presence of the Discovery Princess signals a growing focus on the region, as two other Princess ships are also scheduled for Southeast Asia this season. The Diamond Princess will return to Singapore in December 2025 for her homeporting season through February 2026, and the Crown Princess will make her maiden call in late November 2025, enthusiastically expanding Princess Cruises’ footprint and offering more wonderful options for travelers in the region.
