Delta One Upgrades Airport Experience At Eight Hubs

  • Exclusive check-in facilities are now open at all eight major Delta hubs in the United States
  • Services include expedited bag drop, personalized ambassador assistance, and light refreshments
  • Access is restricted to Delta One ticket holders, partner business class passengers, and Delta 360 members
  • The project aims to align the ground experience with the premium service standards of the in-flight cabin

Delta Air Lines has finalized the expansion of its exclusive Delta One Check-In facilities, ensuring that these premium services are now available at all eight United States hubs that offer Delta One service. The rollout was completed just prior to the holiday travel season to accommodate the increase in passenger volume. The designated hubs featuring these upgraded spaces are Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.

The primary objective of these facilities is to mirror the elevated experience of the airline’s in-flight business class cabin on the ground. By creating a dedicated space separate from the main terminal bustle, Delta aims to provide a seamless transition for passengers from their arrival at the curb through the security process. While the specific layout and square footage vary depending on the airport infrastructure, the core amenities remain consistent across all locations.

Inside these check-in areas, eligible travelers are greeted by Premium Service ambassadors who provide personalized assistance. The facilities offer expedited check-in and baggage drop services to reduce wait times. Furthermore, the spaces are designed to be calm and relaxing, featuring comfortable seating as well as a selection of light refreshments and beverages.

Greg Forbes, Delta’s managing director of airport experience, emphasized that the goal is to establish a consistent tone of care and hospitality from the start of the journey. Access to the Delta One Check-In is reserved for customers holding a same-day ticket in Delta One, passengers flying business class on select partner airlines, and members of the invite-only Delta 360 program. This expansion represents Delta’s continued investment in digital innovation and physical infrastructure to prioritize time and comfort for its premium clientele.
