Cunard is extending its partnership with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) for the 2025 Alaska season aboard the newly refit Queen Elizabeth. This collaboration, now in its third season, will feature a distinguished lineup of RCGS experts as guest speakers on select voyages from June 12 through September. The program aims to immerse guests in the Alaskan experience through Cunard’s Insights enrichment program, complementing the array of shore excursions.

The RCGS speakers, including explorers, naturalists, topographical experts, astronauts, and Indigenous advocates, will share their extensive knowledge and captivating adventure stories. Among them are George Kourounis, a worldwide explorer and storm chaser; Laval St. Germain, renowned for summiting Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen; naturalists Brian and Dee Keating; geographer Lynn Moorman; Joseph Frey, former VP of The Explorers Club; astronaut Andrew Fuestel; polar ambassador Sunniva Sorby; and naturalist David Gray. These experts will deliver custom-curated programming for Cunard guests.

Katie McAlister, Cunard president, expressed excitement about continuing the collaboration, highlighting that it adds intellectual enrichment to the luxurious voyage, creating lasting memories. Beyond the RCGS experts, the Queen Elizabeth will also host other notable speakers, including TV host Robson Green, writer and comedian Ruby Wax, mountaineer Peter Hillary, adventure TV host Ryan Pyle, Captain Bill Wichrowski from The Deadliest Catch, British veteran Jason Fox, filmmaker Qasa Alom, and adventurer Sarah Outen. Additionally, Native Cultural Heritage Guides from Alaska Native Voices will be featured on all Alaska voyages, further enhancing the cultural immersion. This initiative underscores Cunard’s commitment to offering stimulating educational components alongside its renowned luxury cruise experience.
