Costa Cruises is significantly expanding its travel offerings in Asia for 2026 with the introduction of two new 11-day itineraries aboard the recently restyled Costa Serena. This move reaffirms Costa’s strong position in the Asian cruise market, providing travelers with immersive journeys that explore the continent’s diverse cultures, from ancient sites to cutting-edge cities.

The first new itinerary, departing June 1, 2026, traverses three countries: South Korea (Seoul and Busan), key ports in Japan (including Sasebo and Nagasaki), and concludes with an overnight stay in Shanghai, China. The second itinerary, departing October 7, 2026, offers an immersive exploration of Japan from south to north, featuring an overnight stay in Kobe and calls at culturally rich cities like Kanazawa, Kochi, and Hokkaido (Hakodate).
Costa Serena recently underwent a major restyling, giving the ship a more contemporary and vibrant look with a new food court, revamped pools, and renovated cabins. Beyond these two new voyages, the Costa Serena will alternate two 14-day itineraries and will star in a 66-day World Cruise. The ship will also serve a unique non-traditional role in the region, acting as the official floating hotel in the port of Nagoya, Japan, during a major international sporting event in the fall of 2026.
