Carnival Cruise Line has announced its 2027/2028 deployment plans, which include the return of year-round cruises from Mobile, Alabama. Starting May 15, 2027, the Carnival Valor will homeport in Mobile, marking the first time a Conquest-class ship has sailed year-round from the port. This move is intended to expand the cruise line’s capacity and offer guests in the region the convenience of sailing closer to home.

The Carnival Valor will offer a variety of six- to eight-day sailings from Mobile, visiting destinations such as The Bahamas, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, and the new exclusive destination, Celebration Key. Before transitioning to Mobile, the ship will complete its deployment in New Orleans in early May 2027.
The deployment also features two special 14-day Carnival Journeys voyages from Mobile. One itinerary in September will sail to the Caribbean and Panama, with stops in Colombia, Costa Rica, Aruba, and Curaçao. A second 14-day sailing in January will explore the Southern Caribbean, including San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Aruba. Additionally, a seven-day Thanksgiving cruise is planned for November.
While the Carnival Valor moves to Mobile, other ships will continue Florida service: Carnival Glory will offer three- and four-day cruises from Port Canaveral, and Carnival Conquest will operate three- to five-day sailings from Miami. Both Florida-based ships will include calls at Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay. This deployment strategy focuses on increasing regional capacity and diversifying itineraries.
