Azamara Cruises recently marked a significant milestone in Barcelona with the first-ever meeting of three of its sister ships: Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Onward. This event was more than a symbolic gathering; it underscored the luxury cruise line’s commitment to immersive travel experiences and its strong relationships with the global travel trade, particularly highlighted by the exclusive invitation extended to 10 UK and Ireland travel agents for a VIP experience.

The centerpiece of the Barcelona celebration was an “AzAmazing Evening” held at Finca Mas Solers, a historic 19th-century mansion outside the city. Guests, including 50 travel agents from the UK, EMEA, and DACH regions, were treated to an authentic Catalonian cultural showcase featuring Spanish guitar music, vibrant Catalan rumba, and the traditional human tower performances. This event exemplified Azamara’s core philosophy of “Destination Immersion®,” offering guests deep connections to local cultures and customs beyond typical cruise offerings.

During the gathering, Azamara’s CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler and other senior executives held a panel discussion, providing key insights into the company’s future strategies and growth. Among the major announcements were Azamara’s planned return to Alaska in 2026, complete with new immersive pre- and post-land programs designed to offer deeper exploration of the region. The panel also touched upon exciting new details for its 2027 deployment, including its largest World Cruise yet. In the more immediate future, Azamara Quest is set to reposition to Iceland to begin its Canada and New England program starting July 21, 2025, while the line’s other three ships will spend the summer season in Europe.
