American Airlines is expanding its international network with an exciting new seasonal service from New York (JFK) to Edinburgh, Scotland (EDI), commencing in March 2026. This route marks the first international deployment of American’s game-changing Airbus A321XLR, making American the first U.S. airline to introduce this advanced aircraft. Edinburgh, a vibrant city known for its landscapes and rich history, has become a favored destination for travelers.

The A321XLR promises an elevated inflight experience, featuring 20 premium Flagship Suite® seats with lie-flat capabilities, direct aisle access, and wireless charging. Additionally, it offers 12 Premium Economy seats with enhanced comfort features and 123 Main Cabin seats, all benefiting from high-speed Wi-Fi and complimentary seatback entertainment with Bluetooth connectivity. Passengers on trans-Atlantic flights will also enjoy hot meals and complimentary beverages.
