Royal Caribbean is significantly expanding its private destination offerings with the announcement of Perfect Day Mexico and Royal Beach Club Cozumel, set to enhance its “Ultimate Destinations” portfolio.

Perfect Day Mexico, slated to open in fall 2027, will be Royal Caribbean’s largest private development, transforming the current Puerto Costa Maya. This expansive 200-acre destination promises a wealth of attractions across seven distinct neighborhoods.

A highlight will be the Loco Waterpark, featuring over 30 waterslides, including Jaguar’s Peak, which will boast the tallest waterslide tower and waterslides in the Americas at over 170 feet, as well as the world’s longest coaster waterslide. Splash Cove will offer the world’s longest lazy river, complete with a “crazy” section offering unexpected thrills, and a massive 100,000 square-foot pool. For adults, El Hideaway will provide an exclusive party zone with a zero-entry pool and swim-up bar. The Costa Beach Club will offer an upgraded, exclusive beach experience with premium dining and private cabanas. Nearly two miles of white sand beaches at Chill Beach, along with complimentary loungers and umbrellas, will be available. Fiesta Plaza will serve as a vibrant arrival area immersed in Mexican culture, featuring the world’s largest sombrero atop a bar. The destination will also include a dozen regionally inspired dining options, most of which will be complimentary, and 24 bars. Importantly, Puerto Costa Maya will remain open during construction.

Complementing this massive development is the Royal Beach Club Cozumel, scheduled to open in 2026. This destination will offer a more relaxed, beach-focused experience with pools, swim-up bars, cabanas, and activities like snorkeling and kayaking, all infused with the “spirit of Mexico,” including local cuisine, a street market, tequila tastings, and cooking classes.

These new Mexican destinations join Royal Caribbean’s existing and upcoming private locations, including Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau (opening December 2025), Lelepa in Vanuatu (early 2027), and Labadee in Haiti. By 2027, Royal Caribbean anticipates that 90% of its Caribbean guests will have the opportunity to visit either Perfect Day at CocoCay or Perfect Day Mexico.
