Travel Gear Review: GermBloc Traveler Protection

Commonly seen in airports, hotels, cruise ships and other places frequented by travelers: alcohol-based hand sanitizer being used to protect them from germs.  Not as effective as vigorous hand washing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say that soap and water are not available, an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is most effective.  Only one problem: that same effective alcohol dries out hands. On a recent trip to Europe. we tested a new alcohol-free product that passed the test with flying colors.

38 (1)GermBloc alcohol-free hand sanitizer lotion promises to kill 99.99 % of germs in 15 seconds, making it perfect for sanitizing hands without drying them out and provides protection that lasts up to 4 hours.  Because it moisturizes while it sanitizes, GermBloc makes hands feel soft and smooth, solving the dry, cracking feeling problematic of alcohol-based varieties.  The active ingredient comes in a variety of sizes and forms and can be used on hands, surfaces and other contact places where travelers might pick up germs.  After passing through a number of airports, who knows what germs might have been picked up along the way and where they came from? Frequent use of GermBloc greatly reduces that concern, providing a barrier of protection that is both effective and a pleasure to use.

Concerned about germs in aircraft on seats and surfaces you might come in contact with?  GermBloc’s Antimicrobial Surface Treatment is another product to bring along when traveling.  Odorless and colorless, this one protects a wide range of surfaces.  In the past, we had a practice of arriving at our cruise ship stateroom, dropping off our luggage then fogging the space with Ozium Air Sanitizer.  A good step in the right direction but not effective on contact surfaces.  GermBloc’s Antimicrobial Surface Treatment goes directly on surface we might come in contact with, eliminating 99.9% of germs.
