Explora Journeys is elevating the European luxury cruise landscape as its newest vessel, Explora III, arrives in Northern Europe to continue its celebrated maiden season. Reporting from Cruise Industry News highlights that the 70,000-ton luxury ship has officially commenced a scenic series of voyages spanning the Baltic Sea, Scandinavia, and the British Isles, following its warm-weather Mediterranean debut and delivery from Fincantieri’s shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy.

The ship reached Northern European waters following a grand 15-night repositioning cruise that began in Lisbon, Portugal, guiding travelers along the Atlantic coastline with calls across Spain, France, England, and Norway before arriving in Copenhagen, Denmark. For its initial regional showcase, Explora III is navigating an eight-night Baltic itinerary visiting Estonia, Sweden, and Latvia, highlighted by an extended overnight stay in Stockholm alongside visits to picturesque medieval ports such as Tallinn, Visby, and Rønne on Bornholm Island.

As the third vessel in the Explora Journeys fleet, Explora III marks a milestone as the brand’s first ship powered by liquefied natural gas. Accommodating 922 guests, the ship is slightly larger than sister ships Explora I and Explora II, providing expanded public spaces, reimagined wellness areas, and additional oceanfront suites.

Looking forward, Explora III will complete voyages to Iceland and the British Isles before embarking on its first transatlantic crossing in late September. The vessel will showcase autumn foliage throughout Canada and New England before repositioning to the Caribbean in late October for sun-filled winter departures from Miami, San Juan, and Barbados. With sister ships Explora IV and Explora V arriving in 2027 and Explora VI following in 2028, Explora Journeys continues to expand modern, sustainable luxury at sea.
