Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced a bold and sophisticated upgrade across its celebrated Explorer-class fleet, purposefully reducing overall guest capacity to introduce significantly larger, more luxurious suites. Scheduled during upcoming dry dock periods in 2027 and 2028, Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Explorer, and Seven Seas Grandeur will each see their suite inventory reduced from 373 to 344 accommodations. By removing 29 suites per vessel, the luxury cruise line is prioritizing personal space, elevated comfort, and unmatched indulgence on the high seas.

The fleet transformation will establish the ship’s redesigned Veranda Suites as the largest entry-level staterooms in the ultra-luxury cruise sector. Expanding from 29 square meters to between 38 and 43 square meters, these refined retreats will feature walk-in closets, marble double vanities, and generous private balconies. In addition, the refurbishment introduces brand-new Horizon Penthouse Suites, ranging from 57 to 67 square meters, which debut an open-concept living room, full bath suite, and expansive veranda inspired by the upcoming Seven Seas Prestige.

Each ship will also receive three additional signature Distinctive Suites measuring up to 85 square meters. Named the Explorer, Splendor, and Grandeur suites respectively, these expansive layouts feature king-size Elite Slumber beds, one-and-a-half stone bathrooms, dedicated butler service, in-suite caviar service, and fresh orchid displays.

The renovation rollout begins aboard Seven Seas Splendor in November 2027, followed by Seven Seas Explorer in April 2028 and Seven Seas Grandeur in October 2028.
