Luxury cruise operator Crystal Cruises has announced a major expansion milestone by officially exercising its option with renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. This decisive step confirms the construction contract for a third new-generation oceangoing cruise ship, scheduled for delivery in 2034. The vessel represents the final optional order under the original contract signed between both companies, further solidifying a shared vision for high-end maritime hospitality.

The trio of newbuilds marks Crystal Cruises’ first new construction projects in twenty-five years and serves as a major development under the stewardship of A&K Travel Group. The debut vessel in this new class, named Crystal Grace, is currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard, with its keel-laying scheduled for late 2026 and delivery expected in May 2028. The second sister ship is slated for delivery in May 2031, paving the way for the newly commissioned third vessel.

Designed to offer an intimate and elevated sailing experience, each vessel will measure approximately 246 meters in length with a gross tonnage of 62,000, accommodating just 650 guests. Designed by an internationally acclaimed architectural firm, the ships will feature all-balcony staterooms, specialized accommodations for solo travelers, and generous public lounges.
