Viking has officially taken delivery of its newest river vessel, Viking Dagur. Constructed at the Meyer Neptun Werft shipyard in Rostock-Warnemünde, Germany, the state-of-the-art vessel joins an award-winning fleet of Viking Longships. The new ship is designed to navigate Europe’s most iconic waterways, bringing travelers to historic destinations along the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers.

Accommodating 190 guests across 95 staterooms, Viking Dagur showcases the elegant Scandinavian aesthetic and industry-leading design innovations that define the Viking brand. The ship features the line’s patented square bow enabling three full decks, the popular indoor and outdoor Aquavit Terrace for scenic dining, and an asymmetric corridor layout that offers true two-room suites. Passengers can experience these features on sought-after itineraries, including Rhine Getaway, Paris to the Swiss Alps, Christmas on the Rhine, and Christmas on the Rhine & Moselle.
